Malissa Maria Mahmud is an Associate Professor at Sunway University and her research interests consist of the vast areas of Instructional System Development (ISD), Educational Technology, English Studies and Teaching, Human and Mediated Communications. Over her career, Associate Professor Dr Mahmud has presented and published prolifically in top conference and journals and won The Best Paper and Excellence in Teaching awards. She has been appointed as the Academic Editor for Asian Journal of Language, Literature and Culture Studies since 2018, as a technical committee and editorial reviewer for numerous peer-reviewed journals, international conferences and publishers. Associate Professor Dr Mahmud is engaged in significant academic and professional activities. To date, she has developed two android-based innovations and applications, which won a silver medal, and she has been granted and contracted with highly competitive external grants from the Ministry of Education, Malaysia where she collaborates with academicians from private and public universities. |

Airil Haimi Mohd Adnan, PhD MA MEd MAEd BSc BEd AdvDipEd DipAppSocSci PGCertEdSt CertCouns, is a multiple award-winning Malaysian Senior Lecturer and multidisciplinary Social Scientist with 20 years’ experience in tertiary education. Elected as Member of the Royal Institution of Great Britain at 24, he now works at Akademi Pengajian Bahasa, Universiti Teknologi MARA Shah Alam. A supporter of Industry 4.0 and Education 4.0 initiatives in ASEAN, he has held Visiting Scholar, Research Fellow and Consultant positions in Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore, and New Zealand. He has produced much academic output as proceeding papers, journal articles, book chapters, and books; written 700+ academic articles for ASEAN newspapers and magazines and appeared 250+ times on radio and television. As a QUAL researcher, his research imagination was honed and sharpened by some of the brightest minds in the above fields at Henley College Coventry, The University of Warwick, The University of Leicester, The Open University of United Kingdom and recently at The University of Auckland. This pre-conference workshop will be particularly useful to advanced students of qualitative research methods and early career academics alike. |
